Ansell will introduce several new O.R. safety innovations at this year’s 60th Annual Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Congress in San Diego, CA. These new innovations are part of the SANDEL brand of healthcare safety devices, which offers solutions to improve safety for patients and healthcare professionals.

Ansell will showcase various innovative products in hand protection for healthcare professionals at Arab Health 2013, the largest healthcare exhibition in the Middle East (Dubai, January 28th to 31st 2013). At the Ansell booth (Concourse - Booth C258), visitors are invited to discover the latest innovations in hand protection, in particular two new cutting-edge technologies of the surgical glove range GAMMEX®. “Ansell has a long tradition of taking part in the Arab Health fair” said Peter Dobbelsteijn, Senior Vice President and Regional Director EMEA. “Once more, healthcare workers may discover the latest Ansell innovations and take part in the on-going discussion about safety and health issues related to glove use.”

Ansell Limited (ASX:ANN) today announced the acquisition by Ansell Healthcare Products LLC of substantially all of the assets of Preferred Surgical Products, L.L.C. (“PSP”), a privately held US product and technology company with innovative solutions in infection prevention. This acquisition closed on December 31, 2012. The PSP range aims to improve infection control, protect the patient’s skin, and optimize room turnover time, while reducing total cost per procedure.
